Welcome readers to this week's edition of the Jimmy Carter Happy Hour.  I hope you marked your calendars for this one.  Michael Tiernan (aka Mikey T) will be pouring up some of his amazing beers.  So what does the most prolific homebrewer in Des Moines bring?  Get a taste of summer with a Bohemian Pilsner and also Mikey's famous Dortmunder Export.  If you've never been to JCHH, this is the week to start!

And next week get yourself primed for BBQ season.  John Martin will be back, bringing his Smokey Schwartzbier and Burning Down the House American Red, both with hints of smoke.  Also on tap "Farmer John Ale" named after John's dad who happens to be a farmer.  This beer has barley malt, wheat malt, rye malt, oats and corn.  It is balanced by some "earthy" Fuggles and EK Goldings hops.  Blended all together with American Ale yeast.
