[IBU] Vanilla Beans

I can't remember if I sent an email to the IBU about my vanilla beans or not, so here it is.  I ordered some Madagascar Vanilla Beans from eBay about a month ago.  I've got 1/4 lb from Arizona Vanilla and 1/4 lb from Vanilla Products USA.  I purchased extra beans because several ABL members said they would be willing to buy some of the beans from me.  1/4 lbs ends up being about 20-25 beans.  The beans from Arizona Vanilla are of higher quality than those from Vanilla Products USA.  Both beans are excellent quality, and I've used beans from both companies to make beer in the past (vanilla cider, vanilla oatmeal stout, vanilla bourbon imperial porter).  I'll be bringing the vanilla beans to the upcoming IBU meeting, so if anyone is interested in buying some you can do so then.  The Arizona Vanilla beans will be $1 each, and the VP USA beans will be $.50 each.  I'll bring along baggies for people to take them home in.

April meeting of the Iowa Brewers Union will be Monday April 21, 7:00 PM CDT at the Holiday Inn on Merle Hay Road.  The style of the month is Extract Beers.  Brewers of the month are Brain Lenderts and Steve Becker.  Chris Priebe, from Millstream Brewing, is the scheduled speaker.
