[IBU] Partial All Grain

Doug,
I don't think there should be any problems. A year or two ago I read an
article in Brew Your Own or Zymurgy about a new dad who did basically
the same thing (he couldn't find a long stretch of time to complete a
brew in a conventional session). He would mash and collect wort one
evening and boil the wort the next day.
I suppose if you were going to leave it overnight you might want to
bring the temp up past 180 deg F to kill any bacteria. Otherwise it
sounds like a great idea.
Good luck and happy brewing!

I am trying to squeeze in a 10 gallon brew tomorrow but don't have a
continuous 4-5 hours. I was thinking of splitting the session in half,
Session 1 - mash, sparge and collect wort,
Return a few hours later and then bring to boil
Anyone have comments, good or bad.
Thanks Doug.
